A quick progress update

I gave myself a little pat on the back today, as I made the very last flavour for my upcoming recipe book. Take a little look:

Isn’t it beautiful?

The delicate Honey and Lavender was added to my list of flavours very early on, but due to the unfortunate fact that lavender doesn’t flower in winter (how inconsiderate!) I just had to be patient and wait for my plant to bloom.

It was worth the wait, though. I added a little purple food colouring to give it a beautiful pastel colour.

I can’t wait to share these recipes now, and am very pleased and relieved to have completed this stage of the book, but it also comes with a tinge of sadness. The creative part has been so much fun, and my favourite part of all was the photography. I felt very sad packing everything away for the last time.

Now it’s time to start the real work – the writing, printing and publishing!
